Hello you are now in The Loop / December 2008
Improving our service
As an update to our report in the last issue of The Loop, we are currently working on a service improvement initiative to minimise the effects when a fault puts a private circuit out of action.
Known as 'Rapid Restore', the idea starts with building a new capability into a circuit so that if there's ever a problem, customers will be able to simply dial a special number and the circuit will be switched to a PSTN line for the duration of the fault. The aim is to make sure that you and your customers suffer the least possible inconvenience and for the least possible time.
We can now confirm that concept trials of this fast temporary solution have not yet started but are due to in the near future. If these prove successful, we then plan to take Rapid Restore through development.
Look out for news on the results of the trials in future issues of The Loop.
